Assim Assado

Assim Assado was the group guitarist Miguel de Deus formed after the end of Brazões, the rock band in which he had played in Rio de Janeiro and with which he had recorded two LPs for RGE/Fermata, in 1969 and 1970. The new band took Secos & Molhados as its model and left behind the 1974 album Assim Assado. After the group ended, Miguel continued on his own and embraced funk in 1977 with the LP Black Soul Brother, released by Copacabana. He later moved to Campinas, where he played small shows, and died in 2007, the year a documentary about him was produced.
