Fábio

Juan Senon Rolón was born in Horqueta, Paraguay, in 1946, and came to Brazil as a boy, singing with a trio of his father's friends. In São Paulo, he began singing on Record's Alegria dos Bairros, and while performing at the nightclub Cave he met Tim Maia, who introduced him to soul music. In 1967, Carlos Imperial invited him to work in Rio and persuaded him to change his stage name to Fábio. His 1968 single featured "Lindo sonho delirante (L.S.D.)," which they wrote together and recorded with The Fevers; success came in 1969 with "Stella." In the national stage of the V FIC in 1970, "Encouraçado" placed third and earned him the award for best performer. Os Frutos de Mi Tierra appeared in 1972; he later lived in Paris until 1975.
