THE BAND
A poet and musician, Marconi Notaro was born in Garanhuns, Pernambuco, in 1949 and published seven books. In music, he was part of the psychedelic scene that animated Recife during the 1970s, alongside Lula Côrtes, Lailson, Zé Ramalho, Flaviola, Robertinho de Recife, and the group Ave Sangria. His best-known work, and the only album listed in his discography, is No Sub Reino dos Metazoários, a 1973 LP released by Rozenblit. Notaro died in Recife in 2000, at the age of 51.
