THE BAND
Before becoming A Bolha, the Rio band went by The Bubbles. It was formed in 1965 around the brothers César and Renato Ladeira, whose parents were actress Renata Fronzi and radio broadcaster César Ladeira, and built an audience on the city's dance-hall circuit by playing versions of foreign hits. Raw and Unreleased, released in the European market by Groovie Records in 2010, collects material from this period: the debut single on Musidisc, with reinterpretations of Los Shakers and Rolling Stones, and the single made for PolyGram with two songs from the Beatles' Álbum Branco, which was not released at the time. Under its new name, the group recorded with Gal Costa and Raul Seixas and released LPs in 1973 and 1977.
