Rodger Rogério & Téti

Rodger Rogério was born in Fortaleza in 1944 and studied physics: he completed a master’s degree in Brasília in 1970 and became a professor at USP in São Paulo in 1972. Alongside the singer Téti, to whom he was married, as well as Belchior and Ednardo, he created songs each week for Proposta, a TV Cultura program, composing them from conversations with the interviewees. In 1973, Rodger, Téti and Ednardo released the album later nicknamed Pessoal do Ceará, after the circle of musicians from Ceará; its official title is Meu Corpo, Minha Embalagem, Todo Gasto na Viagem. In 1975 the couple recorded Chão Sagrado for RCA Vik, with a title track written in partnership with Belchior. Rodger later appeared in the films Bacurau and Pacarrete.
