The Brazilian Bitles

Formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1965 by Vitor Trucco and Jorge Eduardo, formerly of the band The Dangers, with Luiz Toth, Fábio Block and Ely Barra, the group debuted at a Copacabana nightclub playing Beatles, Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry and The Who. It recorded for RCA and later Polydor, appeared in the film Rio, Verão e Amor, had a recording on the soundtrack of 007 e Meio no Carnaval and hosted a program on TV Excelsior. The first LP, É Onda, was released in 1967 with compositions by Block alongside versions such as Não Tem Jeito, a Portuguese-language rendition of Satisfaction. A second and third volume followed before the group ceased its activities, which MusicBrainz dates to 1969.
