Antonio Adolfo & A Brazuca

A Brazuca was the ensemble formed by pianist Antonio Adolfo in the late 1960s, with Luiz Cláudio Ramos on guitar, Luizão Maia on bass, Victor Manga on drums and singers Julie and Bimba; in a second phase, singer Luís Keller took Julie's place. The group was active between 1969 and 1971 and competed in the IV Festival Internacional da Canção in 1969, when "Juliana," written by Adolfo with Tibério Gaspar, took second place. Cravo Albin lists two LPs on Odeon, Antonio Adolfo e A Brazuca (1969) and the second volume (1970); MusicBrainz dates an album by the group on the same label to 1971.
