Módulo 1000

Módulo 1000 was a psychedelic-rock band from Rio de Janeiro, active between 1969 and 1973, with Luiz Paulo Simas on organ, piano, and vocals, Eduardo Leal on bass, Daniel Cardona Romani on guitar and vocals, and Candinho on drums. Its sound was heavy, with echoes of Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd's psychedelia. The quartet appeared at the V Festival Internacional da Canção, released the single "Big Mama" in 1970, and recorded only one LP, Não Fale com Paredes, now sought after by collectors; it also released a single under the name Love Machine. Later, Simas and Candinho formed Vímana with Lulu Santos, Ritchie, and Lobão, while Simas became known as the composer of TV Globo's plim-plim.
