Os Brasas

Os Brasas began as The Jetsons and were one of the Jovem Guarda—Brazil's 1960s rock'n'roll wave—groups with the strongest presence in Rio Grande do Sul, their place of origin according to Wikipedia and MusicBrainz; Cravo Albin, however, places their formation in Curitiba. Wikipedia lists Luís Vagner, Anyres Rodrigues, Franco Scornavacca, and Edson Aymay. According to Wikipedia, after adopting the new name they recorded the single "Vivo a sofrer / Lutamos para viver" in São Paulo in 1966, appeared on television programs, and joined the Banda Jovem do Maestro Peruzzi; Cravo Albin dates the name change to 1968. Their only LP was released by Musicolor in 1968 and, according to Wikipedia, has never been issued on CD. As the Jovem Guarda declined, the group disbanded in 1969. Franco Scornavacca, the bassist according to Wikipedia, is the father of the brothers in the trio KLB.
