Os Incríveis began in São Paulo as The Clevers, with Mingo and Risonho on guitars, Neno on bass, Manito on horns and keyboards, and Netinho on drums, playing twist and instrumental rock. In 1964, they accompanied Rita Pavone on a European tour and, shortly afterward, changed their name and played an extended engagement in Argentina. Los Increíbles, released by CBS Argentina in 1965, dates from this period. After returning, they appeared on the premiere of the program Jovem Guarda—Brazil's 1960s rock'n'roll wave—starred in a film, and had hits with "O milionário" and "Minha oração". The pressure surrounding "Eu te amo, meu Brasil", associated with the military regime, hastened the group's end in 1972.
