The Clevers

Between 1962 and 1965, The Clevers was the name used in São Paulo by the group later known as Os Incríveis. The LP Encontro com The Clevers – Twist, released by Continental in 1963, dates from this period. The name was registered to manager Antônio Aguillar; after returning from a tour with Italian singer Rita Pavone in 1964, the musicians broke with him, lost the right to use it, and continued under their new identity, while the legal dispute dragged on until mid-1965. Aguillar then recruited another group from the TV Record program Reino para a Juventude to continue as Clevers.
