Veludo

According to Cravo Albin, Veludo was formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1972, initially as Veludo Elétrico, with Lulu Santos, Paul de Castro, Fernando Gama, Nelsinho Laranjeiras and Rui Motta. Its music moved between hard rock and progressive rock; Lulu remained until 1974, and the group’s only album from that era, Veludo, was released by Polydor after his departure. The band stopped performing in 1978 and returned to recording in 2016 with a CD produced by Nelsinho, Penetrando por Todo Caminho sem Fraquejar. The recording held in this collection is Veludo ao Vivo, which MusicBrainz lists in a 1994 edition on the Zaher Zein/Projeto Luz Eterna label.
