Vímana

A progressive rock band from Rio formed in 1974, with a Sanskrit name suggested by Lulu Santos. The original lineup brought together Luiz Paulo Simas and Candinho, formerly of Módulo 1000, with Lulu and Fernando Gama, formerly of Veludo Elétrico. Candinho left the band in 1975, and Lobão joined on drums and Ritchie on vocals and flute. They performed at MAM do Rio and Hollywood Rock. Som Livre released the single Zebra / Masquerade, dated 1977 by Wikipedia and 1976 by Cravo Albin. The group then became the backing band for Swiss musician Patrick Moraz, a keyboardist who had played with Yes; Som Livre shelved the already-recorded LP, conflicts accumulated and the group disbanded in 1978.
