Márcio Greyck

Márcio Pereira Leite, known as Márcio Greyck, was born in Belo Horizonte in 1947 and was already successful in the city when he moved to Rio in 1967 and passed an audition for Polydor. His first single featured "Minha menina", a version of "Eleanor Rigby", and his own composition "Venha sorrindo". The 1968 LP was recorded with his friends from The Bubbles, later A Bolha, as the backing band. He hosted O Mundo É dos Jovens on TV Tupi and, in 1970, now at CBS, released the single "Impossível acreditar que perdi você", written with his brother Cobel; the record sold more than 500,000 copies. Roberto Carlos recorded his songs.
