Sagrado Coração da Terra

A progressive rock band from Minas Gerais formed in 1979 by composer and violinist Marcus Viana, shortly after he left Saecula Saeculorum. Its music combines instrumental passages featuring violin with lyrics grounded in spiritual and ecological themes. Wikipedia dates its recording debut to 1984, while Cravo Albin gives 1985, the year of the LP in the collection, released by Sonhos & Sons; it was well received abroad, particularly in Japão. In Brasil, the band reached a wider audience when Flecha appeared on the soundtrack of the telenovela Que Rei Sou Eu?. Viana later composed the soundtrack for Pantanal, which shaped Farol da Liberdade. After Grande Espírito (1993), the group remained inactive until 2000.
