Som Nosso de Cada Dia

Formed in São Paulo in the early 1970s (Wikipedia gives 1971; MusicBrainz, 1972), the band began as a trio: Manito on keyboards and wind instruments, Pedrão on guitar and bass, and Pedrinho Batera on drums. Manito had come from Os Incríveis, and the band drew attention for dispensing with lead guitar. Snegs was recorded in about a week and then sat unreleased at the record company until 1974, when opening the Alice Cooper concerts in Rio and São Paulo gave the group fresh momentum. Manito left in 1975; a new lineup, featuring Egídio Conde on guitar, recorded the second LP, Som Nosso. The band ceased activities at the end of the decade and later returned to the stage on several occasions.
